The six-time Ballon d’Or winner said it would always be difficult to play against arch-rivals Brazil and stressed that it was important for Argentina not to lose.

“We knew it was always difficult to play against Brazil, he was stuck and in many conflicts, it was difficult to play.

Messi has recovered from a head injury he suffered last month. The injury forced him to miss two matches against Paris Saint-Germain and he returned to the starting line-up after spending 15 minutes on the field against Uruguay.

“I’m fine, otherwise I wouldn’t have played. I have stood for a long time and it is not easy to play at such a fast pace. Fortunately, I am fine and I know I will take it easy. I hope I end the year well. ”

Messi joins French giants PSG this summer after Barcelona failed to extend his contract due to financial problems. The Argentine has been offered a number of clubs but has opted for PSG, including Neymar Jr. and Angel de Marian, who has played for the club and for his club.
