Clifton Park, New York – Fitness in action had a great opening and ribbon cut this weekend. His wife and head coach Mike Verschelden welcomed the guests to the Gymnasium on 217 Guideboard Road, with a ribbon cut off on Friday and a grand opening on Saturday.

While active fitness focuses on small group sports and one-on-one fitness training, there are also larger group training options that Versheldden calls “Move Camps.” Jim is membership-based, with a variety of package options. At Saturday’s grand opening, Verscheldon offered three activity camps in half an hour to give customers a preview of what Move’s fitness program looks like. Camps also served as fundraising opportunities. All proceeds from the three camps were donated to the Captain community, which helps homeless youth.

Verscheld hopes to host Move Camps every month. Giving back to the community and helping others, especially children, is a priority. He hopes that the services provided by Move Fitness will help people to improve their lives in a holistic way with better fitness, better thinking and better overall health.

“This has been my dream for some time,” Verscheldden said at the ribbon cutter. “We really want to make an impact on the community by being healthy, fit and better.”

Vershelden is grateful to his family and friends for their support from the beginning and for making his dream come true. Both parents said that they were very proud of him. Representatives of the House of Representatives, Mary House Walsh, and representatives of Senator Daphne Jordan and Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce pledged support.

“I’ve seen a lot of change from training,” he said. “I did it myself. I know it can change your life.

Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce Vice President Benefits and Programs Liz Roganbuk was thrilled to be included in the exercise program on the list of new businesses opened this year.

“Our ribbon clips are too busy,” commented Rogenbook. “It’s great to see that Kovid has not stopped people from starting new businesses and pursuing their dreams.

Exercise is open seven days a week. Classes and memberships are hosted at Vagaro, For more information, including an advance strategy session, visit, call (518) 708-5239, or email Verschelden at Follow on social media and
