Combining personal relationships with fitness goals is about building one community at a time in Bala Jola with balanced fitness and health.

Rodrigo Iglesias, a well-to-do fitness expert, says he has decided to make the concept of fitness more established in the village. By August, 30% of sales – such as new memberships, private training sessions and daily, weekly and monthly passes – are being promoted to the La Jolla Art and Wine Festival.

With the promotion and the continued growth of the institution, Iglesia said he hopes to grow his business as a “neighborhood gym.”

“We are really looking forward to being part of the community and engaging ourselves,” he said.

La Jola’s venue is second only to fitness, located on Seventh Avenue in downtown San Diego.

Iglesias said he met with former La Jolla Sports Club owner Brett Murphy during the COVID-19 epidemic as many local fitness companies struggled to stay open.

“Many studios are out of business,” Iglesias said.

La Jolla Balanced Fitness and Health is distributed on two floors, with exercise equipment and machines on one floor and in the group fitness room. The facility includes locker rooms and showers and continues to renovate in a few areas.

Although the place needed a few more cosmetic changes, Iglesias wanted to open it as soon as possible. “We would not want to leave La Jolla if we did not have a culture of living in a neighborhood gym,” he said.

Upcoming changes include adding artificial turf to the ground, opening windows and completing the steam room. Iglesia said the renovation should be completed by the end of September.

“One of our goals is to really get closer to our members,” Iglesia said. Many fitness businesses have “lost their customer service brick and mortar appearance,” he said. “We are trying to improve customer service.”

“Fitness has reached the point where we can make money from people with disabilities,” Iglesia said. “We want to create a balanced lifestyle.”

Jim said he would focus on “inclusive membership” to keep members from getting bored.

“It’s important to keep sports in high school and middle school alive. If it weren’t for high school sports, I probably would have dropped out of school. ”

Exercise and fitness have further impelled Iglesias to enter the gym business. He said he had a vision when he was a guest of RMD Group, a hospitality company, working on a four-hour, 12-mile major project on Lake Tahoe seven years ago.

“Once in my head, it was clear: ‘I’m not happy, I’m not in shape, I’m not what I want to be, I’m not sure.’ I realized it was time to move on, ”he said.

“I want to help people in the gym,” said Iglesias. “What motivates me is to help people find themselves በሚ in such an atmosphere of closeness.”
