The Northwest Texas Health Care System brings awareness to the Diabetes Center

Recognized by the American Diabetes Association, the Northwest Texas Health Care System Diabetes Center hosts a series of classes to celebrate “Diabetes Management Over the Last 100 Years.”

In this month’s episode, Amanda Ast, MS, RD / LD diabetes educator, discusses important information and the latest research for medical professionals. For those who want to learn more about how to manage their lives with diabetes, Ast will continue her monthly course on “Living with Diabetes.”

Cooper Wells Strategies hires a general manager of the Downtown Athletics Club.

Cooper Wellness Strategies Paul Wright, who works as a Downtown Athletics Club (DAC), has announced the addition of a general manager in Amarillo.

The 45,000-square-foot full-service DAC Fitness Facility manages on-site facility activities and programs, member engagement programs, Cooperite Cardiovascular Fitness Assessments, and Cooper Tracks personalized exercise and education programs.

“We are delighted to welcome Paul Wright to our team,” said DAC owner and president Margaret Hodge. “Paul has strong testimonies for more than four decades, as well as a proven track record of two major fitness institutions, as well as his love for the health and fitness industry.”

Prior to joining Cooper, Wright worked as a Health and Safety Analyst for the State of California, reviewing and implementing Health, Safety and Security programs for injury and illness prevention programs. 40 years and more experience in the health and fitness industry is structured around managing business development and providing health and health solutions in a variety of roles.
