According to General Manager Alan Turkkin, Retro is a 21st century facility with state-of-the-art matrix equipment and team components.
“Our club is like a whole meal,” he said. “It’s a small step up.”
For members who want a cardio session, each machine comes with a console, local TV stations, and cable and netflix. So, while members are working, you can also get a squid game.
There are also extensive strength equipment and free weights, personal training and team classes. The daily group classes include Zumba, Tai Chi, and Yoga.
The new 15,000-square-foot facility will have a Zen Cave with red light treatment, massage chairs and leather upholstery. Members can enjoy a wide selection of juice bars before and after exercise, such as protein shakes. They also have recipes to help members eat healthy and prepare meals.
Retro Fitness’s hours are Monday through Friday from 5 am to 11 pm. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1am to 1pm.
According to Turkey, all new members will receive a fitness assessment that includes more information on body fat percentage, water weight and body composition. A modern machine does this. However, many gyms do not have this because it is expensive. But he says this will help members set realistic goals.
Turkey believes that more people will go out of their way for a small gym and hopes to help members feel better and feel better about themselves.
Located in West Palm Beach, there are now more than 120 open or planned Retro Fitness facilities throughout the United States.
